Chemical Industry Wastewater Treatment
Industry Background
The chemical industry often produces wastewater containing surfactants, salts, colloids and traces of organic solvents. These characteristics lead to strong fluctuations in water quality, weak biodegradability and higher corrosiveness. As a result, the sludge dewatering stage requires equipment with enhanced material durability, sealing and operational stability.
Technical Approach
The project uses Haibar’s anti-corrosion enhanced belt filter press, customised for chemical sludge characteristics:
- Corrosion-resistant materials and anti-splash structural design at sludge contact sections
- Reinforced sealing system to prevent leakage of corrosive liquids
- Enhanced flocculation system for sludge containing high salt and surfactants
- Automatic tensioning and tracking systems ensuring stable operation under long-term load
On-site Photos
The photos were taken at the wastewater treatment station of a fine chemical plant in Jiangsu Province. The Haibar anti-corrosion enhanced belt filter press, delivered in 2023, is operating stably on site. The filter cloth operates smoothly, and key components show no signs of corrosion, maintaining strong dewatering performance even under high salinity and complex chemical conditions. Since commissioning, the system has reduced hazardous sludge disposal costs and improved the overall reliability of the plant’s environmental management.
